Letters fom happy clients:
Dear Jaco
This manual is a miracle. I have been looking for this information for a long long time. I acquired it only a month or so back, and after all these years, couldn't resist taking a sneak peek through the whole text, and in the process have read it through a few times. On another note, I think your singing voice is amongst the best I've ever heard. I bought your Sing'N'Potpourri album because it was the only one available. I would buy the others as well if I could, but I can't find them, at least here in the United States and over the Internet. I'm still at the tongue/isolating the hyo-glossus muscle exercises, and am working on the 'glottis attack' to make do while I inch along with the rest of the manual (I might have set the record for being the slowest of your students in achieving tongue control, but I've made good progress in the past couple of days). It's also funny how different attacks are suited better to one or the other language. Eg. the glottis attack works very well with French, but sort of hard to use (at least after a week of practice) for English. It doesn't work for Czech and Slovak at all (I need the tongue attack for those). I have an enormous amount of energy motivating me to master the art, I've had it all along but now I have with it a vehicle, and (I pray) at least a year of my life for each chapter. Let's see how far that gets me...
Wish the best of health and spirits to you and your family, Sen Horak
Dear Jaco
Your website which I discovered by accident had sent a thrill of excitement up my spine. I am also glad to learn that Professor Eugene Feuchtinger's great work is being continued. I enrolled with Professor Feuchtinger for his voice training course in the early 1960's and this was one of the greatest things I ever did in my life. I was young then, just started work and without much money. I couldn't pay for the full amount for the course in one go but Professor Feuchtinger was kind to let me pay by instalments. My voice was quite normal but when I was reaching puberty at around thirteen, it began to break and later deteriorated. It became very weak, high pitched and effeminate. And as I was born a physically weakling, always feeling nervous and uncomfortable with people, and now with a defective voice also, life was just hell. Even after enrolling with Professor Feuchtinger and training with him by correspondence, I was still sceptical whether his method could help me. It was not because Professor Feuchtinger's lessons were not good but I had that inferior complex that I was a special hopeless case that they could help other people but not me. To cut a long story short, I have now quite a normal voice, thanks to Professor Feuchtinger's method. I still have all his thirty lessons in the form of booklets plus a supplementary lesson (Photographic Studies of the Tongue) and all the bulletins (newsletters) he sent me. These things are amongst the most precious in my possessions. The free booklet I sent for describing Professor Feuchtinger's method and his personal letters he sent me have unfortunately been lost. I was born in Papua New Guinea and we immigrated to Australia in early 1974 and during our transit, quite a few personal belongings had been lost. In my opinion, Professor Eugene Feuchtinger had been the greatest voice teacher in history. He also was a great authority on human nature as well. Papua New Guinea was pretty primitive at the time I was receiving voice tuition from Professor Feuchtinger and we never used audio tapes in our communication: everything was done through written correspondence. Probably a tape recorder then was owned by very few people living in Papua New Guinea. I am still practicing making the groove plus other exercises from the course but I am sure I can learn more about Professor Feuchtinger's method from you since you learned from him personally and I am sure there are things he passed onto you which he could not do so to his students who were learning through correspondence. Also, your course includes a video which shows how some of the techniques are actually performed and this is really a big advantage over Professor Feuchtinger's students of my days who didn't have this technological aid. I am very interested in your Perfect Voice training Course which I know I can pick up things I missed out when learning from Professor Feuchtinger by correspondence. And when I am financial enough, I will order it. And oh, by the way, I took up weight training in my early twenties and I won a weightlifting title in my weight division. So, I have overcome two handicaps in life. The only things which is a bit of a worry is that South Africa is a very long way from Australia and the Course package could get lost in the mail. Thank you for your time in reading my letter and I would love to hear from you when you have some free moments to drop me a line. Take care.
With kind regards, Alex
Dear Mr Pieterse
I bought the perfect voice course and have found it most exciting and brilliant. I too was totally confused as to common vocal practise, I used to have a very good voice but I mysteriously lost it due to vague practise, frustration and trying all sorts of methods to first improve it and then just to get it back to how it was! Which frustratingly didn't happen. I knew as I carried on reading that you knew exactly what you were talking about and could prove it by showing everything pertaining to the voice and how it works. Most refreshing I have to say. I have been exercising for about three and a half weeks. I have isolated the hyo-glossus muscle and have started doing the beat exercise with the little finger. One thing is bothering me at the moment though. I have become a bit conscious of the tongue. Like self conscious and I feel like it is inhibiting my speech (sort of feels like it’s in the way when I speak). Due to my past frustrations with bad methods I am getting a bit obsessive about it. I didn't have this before and I am doing the exercises correctly and succeeding well with them. All the tests show that I am lucky enough to have a good start. Is this a normal part of development that people experience or what is happening? I do feel at times that my voice sounds somewhat like it used to and this shows me that the exercises are doing something, but a lot of time my voice is weak and not enunciated very well which is what I have been struggling with for a few years. How long is it before a person with an apparent decent start develops a really good voice? Perhaps I have decent habits but a weak hyo-glossus muscle. Thanks Jaco for your magnificent work and I would greatly appreciate your guidance as I am intent on developing the voice I should have. I am 23 and I want to be an actor, musician and writer. I daily work on expanding my talents in all areas of these arts and your contribution is a very important part of this.

Hi Jaco
I realize that this is probably an ordering email but I wanted to tell you how much Perfect Voice helped me. For a few years I struggled with voice difficulties and though I always appeared professional no one knew how difficult it was for me. The results Perfect Voice have brought for me brings tears of relief/ I only dreamed that it could be this easy. It's an amazing blessing.
Thank you, Kathleen
Hi there you lot at Perfect Voice.
I just like to give you some feedback on the package I received about a month ago I am absolutely delighted with the results so far I can’t believe how much rubbish is being taught out there to poor up and coming singers. I have pretty much mastered the groove at the back of the tongue I can do it quite easily with minimal effort The difference to my voice is really noticeable both in the high and low registers not to mention the lovely mid area. I can only dream of what my voice will be like in a years’ time. I'd like to ask about warm ups before a gig. Is it wise to work the tongue till it’s tired on the day of the gig? I mean will there be enough time for the healing and re-strengthening of the hyo-glossus muscle before it will be needed for singing or is it better to do something else? Thanks once again to everyone at perfect Voice especially Jaco Pieterse.
God Bless. Yours faithfully, Isaac
